Polluted Soils Effect On Plants
We will talk further in depth later about how pollutants such as those from gas stations and other earth damaging materials rise up into the atmosphere, eventually landing in soil, therefore polluting it. But for now, we will be talking about how this polluted soil can affect plants.
Plants are a very big part of our lives, and stopping them from growing would dramatically change our world. The balance of any system gets affected, due to pollution of our soil. Many plants cannot adapt when their soil changes so radically in such a short amount of time. Issues such as bacteria and fungi are found in the soil. This sooner or later creates a problem of soil erosion. Then, the fertility of the soil slowly diminishes, making the land unsuitable and unsafe for local vegetation to survive and then later on, thrive. Soil pollution then causes large areas of the land to become hazardous to the health of crops and plants that are growing. Such land cannot support most forms of life. Therefore, the plants will no longer be able to survive.
